Some of the biggest movers in the travel industry are set to head to London this month for this year's EyeforTravel Travel Distribution Technology conference.

Representatives from airlines including KLM, easyJet and Virgin as well as hire car firms such as Hertz will be speaking at the event about how technology has improved their businesses. Held over two days, the conference at the plush Regent's Park Marriot aims to allow those working in the travel technology industry to meet and discuss the future of the sector.

Sabre and Amadeus – two of the world's leading Global Distribution Systems – will also have representatives on hand to discuss their plans for the coming year. The second day of the conference will include keynote speeches from search engine giant Google and British Airways. The former will be offering advice to members of the travel industry on how the use of online search can boost business while the latter will be discussing technologies that can "bring you closer to your customer than ever before."
