A UK travel agent has switched its GDS allegiance, now opting for an agreement with Travelport GDS after three years working with Sabre.
Signing up for Travelport's Galileo GDS, Eton Travel cited a positive customer service ethos at Galileo and a good match between the travel booking needs of the firm and the capacity of the GDS system on offer. The new agreement will see the Travelport GDS provide Eton Travel with a wide range of new and enhanced product options, allowing it to compete with the capacity of other online travel agents (OTAs).
Ken Thompson, managing director of Eton Travel, said: "Galileo invested considerable time in fully evaluating and analyzing our business to ensure they really understood our needs. They really impressed not only the senior management team but also the front line staff with their leading products, technology and UK based service and support."
He added that the new agreement would allow Eton Travel to offer complete and cost-effective travel solutions to its clients.
