Irish carrier Aer Lingus has announced its winter service at Cork Airport with a new flight to Geneva.
The new service to Geneva, which starts in December, takes the number of routes operated by Aer Lingus at Cork up to 18.
Due to increased popularity from passengers the summer flights to Faro will be extended and run until the end of November.
Kevin Cullinane, marketing manager of Cork Airport, said: "We are delighted to welcome the addition of Geneva with Aer Lingus to the growing number of destinations served from Cork Airport.
"As Munster's principal international gateway to the South of Ireland, Cork Airport continues to expand its network of destinations and growth into Europe which, in recent years has been led by Aer Lingus."
Meanwhile, fellow Irish carrier Ryanair recently announced new cheap flights to Dublin from Kerry, with Aer Arran also boosting its presence in Dublin with flights to Derry.
The carrier will operate the Dublin-Derry service for the first time and will also operate flights to Galway, Sligo and Donegal.
