Thursday 29 May 2008
Low-cost carrier
Jet2 has revealed that its premium upgrade service will soon be available on all flights from the UK.
Passengers will have the option to upgrade on
flights from Belfast International,
Blackpool,
Edinburgh,
Leeds Bradford,
Manchester and
Newcastle lasting over two hours.
The announcement follows a successful trial of the Jet2plus scheme, which offers travellers priority check-in, fast-track security and access to a VIP lounge.
Passengers who choose to upgrade for a fee of £24.99 will also receive premium in-flight food and drink options and exclusive onboard seats.
Ian Doubtfire, Managing Director of the Jet2 airline, said: "This is our first upgrade package, it is competitively priced and aimed to reduce the strain at the start of your holiday, short break or business trip.
"The trials have been exceptionally well received and we are confident that there will be strong demand across our bases for this service."
The airline has also introduced a Jet2plus program specifically for its
flights to New York from
Leeds Bradford.
Passengers will be able to upgrade on flights to all its 27 international destinations, including the recently announced route to Geneva from Blackpool which will form part of the carrier's winter ski schedule.
