Europe's largest
cheap flights airline,
Ryanair, has announced 14 new routes across Europe to be launched in October 2008.
The new route expansion takes Ryanair's network to over 660 routes for the winter 2008 season.
Passengers in the UK will benefit from five of the new routes, with flights from Bournemouth to
Milan and
Paris, and
Glasgow to
Faro,
Malaga and
Tenerife all being launched.
Commenting on the new routes, Ryanair's Bridget Dowling said: "Our five new UK routes will provide passengers with lower fares and better punctuality compared to the high fares levied by
British Airways and
Easyjet."
In addition to the UK flights, Ryanair will add services to four new airports, with
flights to Lille (France),
Agadir,
Nador and
Tangier (Morocco).
To celebrate the launch of the new routes and destinations Ryanair is offering 500,000 £10 one-way seats for travel in June and July.
