Tuesday 10 June 2008
Air Berlin has announced that it will double the number of
flights to Copenhagen and Helsinki from Germany as part of its winter schedule.
The number of direct flights to the Danish capital from Berlin-Tegel will be increased to two a day as of November.
This will give passengers the choice of a morning or evening flight to Copenhagen from Berlin.
Flights to Helsinki will also be doubled, with a morning and evening option added for winter. Passengers will also see increased choice on routes with more
flights to Finland added from Air Berlin's Dusseldorf base.
"The Scandinavian market is becoming increasingly important to Air Berlin. We are pleased that we can expand our capacities to cater for the strong demand" said Joachim Hunold, chief executive of Air Berlin.
"On account of the convenient times of the flights, the two routes to Helsinki and Copenhagen are particularly attractive for anyone travelling on business between Germany and Scandinavia."
Air Berlin's winter schedule will also see new
flights to Paris Orly.
