Ryanair has announced the introduction of three
cheap flights to Poland from its base at Ireland's Shannon Airport.
The low-cost carrier will add
flights to Gdansk, Lodz and Katowice in November, taking the number of routes from Shannon up to 23.
Ryanair's Bridget Dowling said the new flights are expected to prove popular with passengers.
She said: "Ryanair guarantees the lowest fares to passengers in the Mid-West, and these three new routes to Gdansk, Katowice and Lodz will provide passengers in the Mid-West with even greater choice.
"The new services to Poland which will operate on a twice weekly basis will deliver an additional 90,000 passengers [each year]."
As well as expanding its network in Shannon, Ryanair also plans to add new
flights to Knock from Liverpool in October.
The direct daily service will connect passengers to the north-west terminal from West Knock Airport and complement existing flights between the Irish destination and Bristol, East Midlands, London Luton and London Stansted.
