Cheap flights airline Flybe has announced a new service which will provide customers with up-to-date departure information.
The Departure Board system will send real-time information to customers' desktops, negating the need for email updates.
Flybe has teamed up with technology provider, Skinkers, to develop the service which is available to customers who download the communication channel to their computers.
Alerts with flight times, offers and promotions will be sent to users via the push technology service.
Neil Simpkin, digital marketing manager at Flybe, said: "Departure Board is an innovative way for us to keep our customers informed in real time about relevant offers and in a visible and engaging format.
"It by-passes the usual e-mail messaging system by only appearing when there is pertinent information directly relating to a customer's pre-specified purpose."
Meanwhile, Flybe has recently increased the capacity on its
flights to Germany following strikes from Lufthansa.
Larger aircraft will be used on
flights to Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hannover, Hamburg and Stuttgart from Birmingham, Southampton and Manchester.
